I have been sporting more jewelry in my outfits as of recently as it really brings my ensemble to life given the simplicity of my wardrobe. I realize now that you do not need to own flashy clothing or follow trends to make yourself look presentable, you just need to know how to accessorize yourself well enough to fool others! Luckily this mentality and new way of styling myself has deemed itself advantageous to not only my wallet but it helps keep my wardrobe clutter down to a minimum. Learning to keep basics in your closet while maintaining the rotation cycle of each piece allows you to wear each piece at least a handful of times before you decide to get rid of it.

I also learned to love all of my shoes equally. My Timberland boots have gotten so much love from wear and I have always been told by strangers how much they love them as well. I only wish that I had bought the other two colors when these boots were first available. Drats! But I have walked by so many Timberland stores and eyed a few new booties that they are releasing. Anti-fatigue soles are a must and for someone who does not wear heels that often - it is a God's send.

If you are considering getting boots for snow, my Timberland's did amazingly well through Chicago's thick, fresh snow back in January. The Trenton boots were also packed in my carry on and held up extremely well (no freezing toes both in rain and snow and with thin socks). The only problem with rubber boots as thick as the Trenton boots is the breaking in factor. I still have a few scars from the friction of the rubber against my skin - but that was my fault for not wearing proper socks with the boots. Otherwise, I would also highly recommend them if you cannot afford the $250 sticker tag on a pair of Timberland booties!
